TREY-YOU! BE GONE!

(I swear I'm going to publish a cocktail table book called "Where Cats Sleep.")

While this is far from the oddest place I've found Trey-You bedding down for a nap, it's one of the more irritating. Trey has clawed the quilt down from the railing to make his cozy little pied-a-terre. Of course, the quilt was freshly washed and had been hung on the railing to dry, not for Trey's sleeping comfort. Of course, it's now covered in cat hair. Lovely. (That'll teach me to put quilts and clothes away the second they're dry!)

Must admit, this is slightly better than the times he gets into the linen closet and burrows a hole into the clean towels. Nothing finer than taking a shower in the morning and drying yourself off to discover you are covered with orangish cat hairs. You truly have not lived until you've experienced this.

Well, come on over! I'm sure Trey-you will be glad to burrow for you! And I'll supply that towel!

  1. Sorry Annie, that's why I'm not a cat person. And why i had a non-shedding dog. Animal hair is not my thing.

  2. Sitting here laughing till I cry...Trey-you sounds so much like our Bubbie. I have a quilt hanging and he pulls it down every time he can.

he also goes in the bathroom and pulls the towels down and crawls in under them once they fall.

  3. It's all about feeling good! He just knew how good he'd look with the Holly Hobbies behind him. What some of us do for photo ops!

  4. He knows you're talking about him - just look at that look he's giving you.

I wear so much cat hair on a daily basis people accept it as part of my wardrobe, like an accessory.

  7. I win for grossest place for cat hair this morning....
IN MY COFFEE CUP! Completely around the rim.. APPARENTLY when I went off to get dressed and to make up my bed (read wander around the house aimlessly only to return to the computer in a bath robe and with bed unmade) I went to get a sip of coffee and COMPLETELY around the rim... CAT HAIRS! What seems to have happened was during my attempt to straighten myself and house up (again read wandering aimlessly) Kittums AKA The Damn Cat decided she needed her fix of Caffeine and stuck her WHOLE HEAD IN MY CUP!
    gag.

  9. I am with Ellen....I like other people's cats but would not own one myself. They are too willing to stake a claim on anything, anywhere at any time.

  11. Oh my, I know what you mean - My cats get in the laundry basket full of clean towels! Very pretty kitty, though, can't help but love the lil buggers!

  13. Cats do love quilts! I haven't started leaving my older poorly made quilts laying around in places for them to sleep so they will leave my better quilts alone! Sometimes it works. That Sunbonnet Sue quilt is really pretty! Did someone make it for you? It looks old.

  14. What a beauty. I know the feeling though. My cats open my linen closet door and climb up on the shelves.. often knocking neatly piled towels down on the floor, and covering the rest with their fur.

  17. Well, he makes a pretty picture. The towel story is hilarious--since I'm not using the towels!
