I have the great pleasure of going home to Columbia Missourahhh once or twice a year to spend time with my parents. Columbia also happens to be the town where I grew up and I do not believe there is a better place to spend one's childhood. Not perfection, because nothing is, but pretty damn close!
Another thing I love about my Missourahhh home is the sky. Big sky. Big sky is not something one finds in Lower Fairfield County, Connecticut. Sunsets like these are not to be seen here. Too many trees and hills.
My Connecticut is beautiful...but it's not my Missourahhh.

Beautiful, just beautiful. One of the few downsides of living in the mountains is that we don't see wide expanses of sky.
ReplyDeleteI love big skies. I think I'd like Missourahhh very much.
ReplyDeleteI love me some big sky...that's why I'm actually moving. To Tuscany.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sky! Having been born in Missouri, but not raised there I can't attest to all you say (Indiana isn't that much different)....but I know that Missouri is a beautiful state from many visits there! You were fortunate to grow up there!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous..I camped in Flagstaff AZ one night and I could look left, forward, right and behind me and see total sky. I will never forget the stars. Here? Nothing.
ReplyDeleteI get it... so beautiful.
