As far as the eye can see,
Loneliness.
And summer is here.
There should be people...

Side note: For the very first time in the 30 years I've lived on the edge of my glorious pond (not pictured above) I am hearing a most glorious bull frog serenade (for the uninitiated, it kinda sounds like an elongated belch)! Simply wonderful! Hope those ole bullfrogs are here for many years to come!
I love the blue and green colors in this pic, well done.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend

I hope you can get to photograph those bullfrogs. Eye popping image.
ReplyDeleteB*E*U*T*I*F*U*L!!! :)
ReplyDeleteJust like a painting.
Love it! :)))
A ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of bull frogs - they are so fun to listen to.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a painting. And I miss that sound. I used to hear it for years when we lived above the pond.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo ... everyone has grown gills due to 21 days of rain ... so they are there, just IN the water rather than on the beach.
ReplyDeleteAnd if I listen hard ... no, still cant hear the bull frogs
Love the picture Annie! It has beautiful color!
ReplyDeletethe clarity of this shot is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThat sky is a *lovely* shade of blue. Makes me wish I was there.
ReplyDeleteHere's mine.
gorgeous shot - I hope you enjoy many more years of serenades.
ReplyDeleteLoneliness speaks volumes in this photograph. Nicely done!

Simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteI can hear the bull frogs. We have them too, along with some tiny sort of tree frog'ish thing that makes a really crazy sound.
Beautiful photo! I like to be at the beach when it looks like that!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the bullfrog! We are hoping a frog or two finds there way to our pond.
Love the sound of bullfrogs! It's all that rain that's brought them out. We had our overabundance of rain in May; now it's water every day or lose my plants. Dry heat, sucking the life out of everything.
ReplyDeleteHaving to play catchup on your posts, Annie. I'm so very sorry about your friend's daughter.
How beautiful. And aren't bullfrogs the best?
ReplyDeleteI like bullfrogs, but I'm partial to tree frogs!!
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you come on down to VA a little early and give your skin a chance to un-mold!!
For us it is hard to believe summer is here. We get a few days of sun and then it turns cold again. Grrrrrr
ReplyDeleteBullfrogs.....I remember.
I know that sound. I am glad you hear it. Lovely, lovely pond.
ReplyDeleteAnn: I enjoyed your beautiful solitude.
ReplyDeleteYour photo is in technicolor! Glad you can still enjoy solitude in such a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteIf it's lonely, then it's inviting me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lonely looking place. I'd love to be walking there with my feet in the water right now.
