Have you ever been in the right time but in the wrong place?? That's what happened to me just a few weeks ago and so many other times, but who could possibly be keeping track of that?. I'm driving west on the Post Road when through the buildings I see this most magnificent sunset. What would've I given to have been on top of a hill - or on the beach! Alas I had to settle for the Stop & Shop parking lot.
The column of sunset glow that was shooting upward was so very much more spectacular and magnificent by human eye than what I captured...but even this gives you a taste of its beauty.

Remember Haiti!
this really is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've gotten some of my best skywatches from various parking lots around Long Island.

It's beautiful! I'm glad you stopped -- it really is a neat perspective!
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous sunset. You got a great photo.
ReplyDeleteWow! Beam me up, Scotty.
ReplyDeleteMy last spectacular sunset photos were taken from a not so spectacular Wally World parking lot.
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteGorgeous .. so glad there was a place to pull over so you could share it!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very cool shot! Really unusual. You did great on that one!
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome.

I always thought that when you saw beams like that it meant a soul was rising to heaven. How I came across this idea is beyond me.....but I kind of like it - even though it makes me sad too.
ReplyDeleteWow, glad you saw it. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNow this Post Road . . . is it an old road? Because I live off of The Old Post Road that runs all the way into Philadelphia, I hear tell.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful Annie.
ReplyDeleteCountry Girl - you follow that Old Post Road north and you'll come right to my door! Ok, a mile from my door, but that's the Post Road that stretches from New England to Florida.
ReplyDeleteSee you soon!

Lucky for us you were traveling with your camera - this is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIn this case, the Stop & Shop parking lot was sufficient. Very beautiful, and I love it!
ReplyDeleteWow.. that's a wonderful shot. Just luscious!
ReplyDeleteI don't think this could be improved much....almost seems to me that it is more striking this way. It sure caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on POTW mention from Hilary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWOWZERS! that is absolutely amazing! I'd have probably run off the road if I'd seen that. Thank you for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteI really like your perspective on that. I wouldn't have noticed the motion in the light if you hadn't pointed it out.
ReplyDeleteI guess climbing on the building wasn't an option? ;-) You managed to get a beautiful shot despite not being up.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your POTW mention at Hilary's place.
