Last year my {morning glories were simply magnificent}! Blue and every color in between - just beautiful. This year, not so much. I sent seeds to my blogging friend {Mary}, as I knew they'd be as magnificent this year as last...Not so much. (Sorry Mary!) I'm growing great foliage, but the blooms are small and terribly disappointing. What is UP with that??? This year, once again I'll gather seeds and hope next year will be better...but I'm buyin' as well.
Once again, Serenity is not realized...
sigh...

hmmmmm...
It must be a great macro shot then because it looks pretty lovely to me. I love morning glories.. particularly these blue ones.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great shot! But I do know what you mean -- I've had the same thing happen to some of my plants and have no idea why???? And I keep looking for serenity, too! Get a glimmer now and then, that's it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day!

Great shot, looks like a star hiding in a blue blanket..beautiful! :-) I wonder how morning glories would do here in Norway?
ReplyDeleteWell.... it looks absolutely gorgeous to me... I love the colors and the white looks like it is just glowing..
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me .. I gave up on glories a few summers back .. they went from lush vines filled with flowers to scraggly vines with almost no flowers to not even growing.. nothing ..an empty window box .. now filled with exquisite dirt (THANK YOU AGAIN) and some pretty impatiens and begonias .. all thriving ..
ReplyDeleteTake heed, the single morning glory is still a gift in itself.
ReplyDeleteI think your morning glory is beautiful, but maybe because I haven't had any in years. Now I will see if I can grow some in a pot next year.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo. Is this from last year then? I really don't know why they're not blooming for you. I had every intention of getting up early this morning and taking photos of the morning glories. Unfortunately, I forgot. But I did get to sleep in. That felt decadent.
ReplyDeleteThey don't like me either, Annie. It's okay. Let's just have some more wine.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I love these guys. I have not seen too many at my parents' this year, now that you mention it.
ReplyDeleteAnn: I think you are being to hard on that flower, it is quite beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful to me! I appreciated those seeds very much! I didn't get them planted right away because I decided to wait until I got a place prepared for them that wasn't overrun with other stuff....hard to find in my messy gardens....so I still have them safely tucked away and will get a good start with them next spring and start them inside like you suggested. I'll let you know how they do eventually!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry! I love morning glories and the photo is still pretty. Don't cry morning glories! What do the want? More sun or more rain?
ReplyDeleteIt is still beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I think it's the whacked-out weather we've had lately that is making all of our plants struggle.
ReplyDeleteI heard it's because we've had so much rain is the reason here in this area - have ya'll had a lot of rain there? Could be the reason there too
ReplyDeleteI cannot grow those for some reason. That shot is quiet lovely!
ReplyDeleteBlame it on the horrific weather!
