See that little blue spot?
(might need to embiggen the photo.)
28 years living in this home of ours
and this is the very first time we've
been visited by an indigo bunting!
Needless to say, I'm beyond thrilled!

How cool. I've never seen an indigo bunting before.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of an indigo bunting... but I'm so happy he's dropped and made you happy! Does he have family visiting MPM?
ReplyDeleteOOooo... very purty indeed. I would be just as ecstatic as you! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLL
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I LOVE seeing them. They are around for only a couple weeks in the spring and then move into the deeper woods. Some summers we never see them again, so I completely enjoy that two weeks! They haven't made it this far north yet though.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Is that the regular niger seed?
ReplyDeleteThat is too cool. He looks like he should glow in the dark.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding! I have NEVER seen one here, tho the guides tell me they should be. And now you have the proof. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLook at that .. yellow, blue and beige .. nice!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, his color is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Aren't they stunning? Makes you want to stand there all day taking photos. Now that they have found you, I'm sure they will be back. It took me about the same length of time to get one and now they come every year. Maybe I just learned to look at the right time :-)
ReplyDeleteAww Anne its gorgeous. I have only seen them a couple of times myself (never at my home) but would love to have them come by my feeders. Now you must tell us what feed your using.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting. I've seen them in the woods, but they haven't come to the feeders.
ReplyDeleteNow, that is exciting. I don't see too many of them either!
ReplyDeletehe is stunning
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed the most beautiful little birds. I've had only one transient here in the almost 20 years I've been here. Like you, I was thrilled to see it.!
