A Number of Places...

'My world' encompasses more than one physical place. Tho I've lived longer in Connecticut than any other state, I am always drawn to my Missouri. This is the back yard of my parent's home, and where part of my soul will always reside. We (my sis, bro & I) grew up in a home about a half a mile from here and though I loved (still love) that home, this is my Missouri home. The memories here resonate. The family and friends that have gathered here over the years and the memories we've all made...ahhh what can I say? A more special place I just can't imagine.

Want to come join me?
It's the edge of heaven, this
Missourah of mine.

  7. THIS is beautiful! I would have guess it was the East with those chairs.

It makes me long for the slower, quieter younger days.

  10. Home is where the heart is. This is a lovely place and we always tag "home" on that place where the people we love live and the memories are strong. My childhood "home" is now under a parking lot of the Indianapolis airport...boo....but I will always have those "home" memories in me anyway. This is now "home" and I dread ever leaving it and have learned I can't go back and see what others do to what was my home once I leave it. I just have to carry it with me in memory. I hope you will always have your Missouri home :-)

  28. TSAnnie, I'd come sit a spell in one of those chairs with you any time! So glad to hear you have a place that is "home" to you. My heart is always drawn to Idaho, though I only lived there for 2 years and have never been able to move back. I only have to see a picture or think of it and I start to cry. For me, heaven is a place called Idaho. I hope you make it back to your Missourah.
