Our backyard this past Wednesday.
Looks kinda leaf-free...
Our backyard yesterday...
the leaves have fallen...really really fallen...

A season called Rake just wouldn't have the same ring to it -- and a season called Leaf Blower is out of the question.
ReplyDeleteI dunno Marvin....Leaf Blower really has a ring to it! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, but it's really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow about backache season or blister season?

ReplyDeleteLOL...this looks like my sister's yard who lives in Northern NJ. There is a never ending rain of leaves.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a whole lot of leaves. We have the exact same beautiful yellow leaves here now...as of today they're still on the trees.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why there are two names for the season: fall and autumn. Which one came first? Why did we need another name? These are the sorts of weird places my strange mind goes....
OMGosh - that's a whole lot of leaves!!! Hard to believe, huh!?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
I see a lot of hard work ahead for you.
ReplyDeleteAre you allowed to burn the leaves where you are?
Where I live we are fortunate that we have yard waste pickup because we are in a no open fire bylaw town.
Bear((( )))
Looks like work ahead to me...but you know, they are still beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYup. My chiropractor just loves this time of year, lol. We don't get to see it near so vividly in this part of Texas. So, thanks for sharing your pictures, as always.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Our yard is disappearing, too. At least your "carpet" is lovely yellow....my front "carpet" is crinkly brown. Lovely leaves even on the ground!
ReplyDeleteAnnie: I guess that is the reason for Fall's name.
ReplyDeletewow - they are really pretty. more so since they aren't in my yard, but still - beasutiful!
ReplyDeleteTS annie, I'm not sure my comment ended up in the right place. I posted one at the top but then I found this link down here, so, who knows. Anyway, love the photos and the leaves and the yard and the autumn...
ReplyDeleteYou're having a beautiful autumn!
ReplyDeleteThat's about how it is here; see the grass one day, see only leaves the next. I'm waiting to rake until the trees are bare!
ReplyDeleteWalk carefully!

We have no such "problems" here. I know it's a lot of work, but I miss this for the sake of my children. Whenever we go somewhere that has leaves, I find a rake and make them a pile to jump in. We go to a place once a week here that has quite a few leaves (though nothing like this), and they love the crunch. It makes me happy.
