Look Who Finally Stopped By!

See that little blue spot?
(might need to embiggen the photo.)

28 years living in this home of ours
and this is the very first time we've
been visited by an indigo bunting!

Needless to say, I'm beyond thrilled!

  2. I have never heard of an indigo bunting... but I'm so happy he's dropped and made you happy! Does he have family visiting MPM?

  4. Oh my gosh, I LOVE seeing them. They are around for only a couple weeks in the spring and then move into the deeper woods. Some summers we never see them again, so I completely enjoy that two weeks! They haven't made it this far north yet though.

  10. Wonderful! Aren't they stunning? Makes you want to stand there all day taking photos. Now that they have found you, I'm sure they will be back. It took me about the same length of time to get one and now they come every year. Maybe I just learned to look at the right time :-)

  14. They are indeed the most beautiful little birds. I've had only one transient here in the almost 20 years I've been here. Like you, I was thrilled to see it.!
