Living close to the Sound (Long Island that is), we obviously are surrounded by many water crafts. I've seen lots of clever boat names over the years, but the above just takes the cake! "Moored" on the deck outside of The Black Duck, it makes me laugh every time I see it. (BTW - the Black Duck's pub grub? It's just excellent!)
Update: Lauren (Mental Mama) commented that The Black Duck was filmed last week for The Food Network's show, Diners, Dives & Drive-ins! Can't wait to see that episode.
Okay, I had to read this twice to get it. But it is a hoot.
ReplyDeleteLove it. Our boat since hubby is an OB/GYN is Sea Section.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of fun. I had to read twice two. And then it was hysterical!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Annie, did you know that The Duck is going to be on that Food Network show called Drive-ins, Diners and Dives? They were filming there last week.
ReplyDeleteI'm worse than Ellen....I had to read it about 6 times to get it right! I guess outside a pub is a good place for it. You have such a great sense of humor....I can always count on a laugh here :-)
ReplyDeleteToo funny!
ReplyDeleteI'm still dreaming about the crabs, the shrimp, the chowder... the next night I had a bowl of Special K. With one-percent milk, mind you, and a Diet Coke with lime. It was difficult to muster up the same enthusiasm, somehow.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I had to say it two times to get it, though. Is that a result of being a blonde or my hormonal imbalance?
ReplyDeleteI had to read it three times, ladies! I only have half a cup of coffee in me...and that is my excuse!
ReplyDeleteOh now that is funny!! I bet you could get a drink aboard that boat!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Thursday chuckle!
ReplyDelete~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
Clever clever.
ReplyDeleteOurs' is called "A Boat."
We're Canadian, you know.
Bear((( )))
That IS clever. If it is like boats on the lake I used to frequent, it was probably a haven of causing liver problems on weekends!
ReplyDeletehilarious! :D
ReplyDeleteSo clever ... is The Black Duck related to either The Black Whale on City Island or The Blue Whale from Dark Shadows?
ReplyDeleteI didnt think so.

ReplyDeleteThe boat name is hilarious. Gotta love punny people :)
And Daryl.. The Blue Whale!.. that sure brought back memories of weekday afternoons. Do you suppose they're all still around.. in parallel time? ;)
