If you like walks in the woods,
it's a good one to know!

Pretty itchy leaves!
ReplyDeleteHow can poison ivy be so darn pretty! I guess there could be a lesson in there somewhere about not judging based on looks, but for now I'm just gonna go with how pretty it is.
ReplyDeleteI am seriously in awe of your photography skills. Beautiful.
pretty stuff... sad to admit I probably play in it but thankfully dont react to it!
ReplyDeleteHow can something so nasty be so pretty in the fall?
ReplyDeleteAnother great picture.
In all of their poison, they are still beautiful. Kind of like a black widow.
ReplyDeleteBut they're so pretty!!! What a wonderful variety of color they have.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am itching just looking at this photo. It's pretty, but I must stay far, far away from nature's little secret weapon.
ReplyDeleteDo you know I never realized that poison ivy leaves turned colours in the fall?
ReplyDeleteLearn something new each day!
Bear((( )))
Well, the birds like it...
ReplyDeleteI never even knew what it looked like. Thanks for the tip. The only thing I knew was 3 leaves "I am poisonous" as opposed to the 4 leaves "I am not poisonous" Then, the 5 leave variety only legal in one state.
ReplyDeleteI am itching just looking at the photo!
ReplyDelete:-Daryl
How's that adage working for you?
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of one of fall's more beautiful leaves.
ReplyDeletePoison ivy is not in short supply on our place. Fortunately, neither the wife nor I are allergic. We still try to be careful, though. I've read one's sensitivity status can change unexpectedly. That would be no fun.
My husband clipped the poison ivy vines today and I am hoping that he didn't get any on his clothing. I just hope.
ReplyDeleteI know the adage well, I am not allergic but all of my kids are and half the grands...no fun!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I own 88 acres of it.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. So absolutely horrible for me! Why is it so pretty? It is begging to be touched. (It's sort of like my cat who pretends she wants you to pet her only so she can bite you.)
ReplyDeleteI'm fortunate! Not responding to their poison! Great pic!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus
Those are beautiful. My father taught me that old saying about three leaves and let them be. Unfortunately I can't count.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I never think of poison ivy as changing colour in autumn.. beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea. I stay so far away from them I didn't realize their beauty!
ReplyDeleteI agree with somebody up there...
Your photos are awesome :)
