First Community Garden Kate Bag Harvest!

OK, so I cheated a bit! Along with planting burgundy green bean beans that I got from a friend to plant (thanks Nurse Nancy!), I also bought a burgundy bean plant that had beans already on it.

Voila!
My first harvest!
And probably the last until late July.

expecting good future Kate Bag* harvests!

P.S. My ~Kate Bag~ was given to me by my dear friend Kate (duh) of Chronicles of a Country Girl. I don't recall exactly when (hey, I'm eligible for AARP, so gimme a break! Please??) but since she gave it to me it has faithfully gone with me to my community garden plot. For the entire last summer my Kate Bag carried home our CG harvest. And surprisingly there was quite a bit of it!
So! Thank you dear Kate for my Kate Bag! I love it!
Here's to big harvest days this year as well!

  2. Those are so cool looking. One year my oldest daughter planted a "purple garden" with my granddaughter. They had all kinds of things purple...eggplant, the same burgundy beans as yours, purple cauliflower and a bunch of others I can't think of now. Surprising how many things you can grow in purple.

  5. To Ms. Country Girl (Kate):

Ummm.....that would be the wonderful bag that collected all the harvest from last years Community Garden!
That would be the wonderful bag given to me by Country Girl Kate.
    That would be you!
So, it's my Community Garden Country Girl Kate Bag. AKA my Kate Bag.
And thank you again my friend!
