Kate Bag Harvest - 10/10/09

So Remy and I have been asking ourselves what in the HELL we were thinking planting all those pepper plants last spring. We must have planted at least 10 different ones. For GOD'S sake! Do you realize how many peppers we've already frozen??? And there's still more coming on. We're supposed to ~put the garden to bed~ by November 1st, but if there's still peppers clinging on, we're not doin' it! (By the way? They've been delicious, every one of those we've consumed!)

  1. Hey, you can send some to me anytime! They look fantastic! I've finally gotten past gardening, even I have to finally admit there are somethings I'm just too old to do anymore!

    Have a great week!

  3. Great garden, great photos.
It is time to leave them on doorsteps by dark of night.

  7. They're beautiful too - and very good for you. Lots of Vitamin C.

If you need more jalapenos or chili peppers, let me know. I"m drowning in them.

  10. I can't grow anything to save my life, but I'm pretty good about buying stuff in-season and prepping it and freezing it. Have a whole bunch of diced frozen bell peppers (which freeze very well) in my freezer for soups and pasta sauces this winter. Can you freeze the other kinds?

  12. They are beautiful, and you just know for next year. I would have had to plant 10 to get enough to eat. My 6 still haven't given up the goods. They are now laden with peppers, but nothing but jalepenos harvested.

  13. Great photo and I would frame it and hang it in my kitchen for sure:) Someone left some tomatoes on my doorstep today sort of like a surprise from Santa and I was so happy so maybe you can leave some at neighbors doors or your local food bank.
