My Bonica rose bush is just beautiful from year to year. But this year I'm alarmed because the blooms have been so heavy, the entire rose bush has flopped over. What do I do??? Prune the entire thing back or just let it flop?? I am really at a loss. Help!

I have no idea, but they sure are beautiful! Ask George and Betsy in Tennessee....they grow roses and seem to know a lot about them.

ReplyDeleteI'd snip off some of the blossoms and put them in a vase to enjoy, but don't listen to me. I have a black thumb.
ReplyDeleteWhile the blossoms are still pretty, you can stake the canes to hold the blossoms up. When you cut off the blossoms prune back to an outward-pointing bud with five or seven leaves. Make the cut about a 1/4 inch above the bud.
