Word of the Day

Obsequious


1. fawning or subservient

2. excessively eager to please or to obey all instructions...except when the tv remote is involved

3. obedient, dutiful


As used in a sentence:

Upon observing my husband's obsequious behavior of late, it suddenly occured to me that 1. He had a really big favor to ask of me and he wasn't at all sure I'd be happy about it, or 2. He had a really big golf trip with his buddies planned and he wasn't at all sure I'd be happy about it.
