Every Purpose Under the Sun

To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.

ecclesiastes 3:1-8

  1. I love this picture! My grandmother used to have flowers like this in her garden, brings back great memories!

  2. Seriously, I do love those bleeding hearts. It's not fair that they are so far ahead of us in their bloomtime. Wahhh.

  3. Nope, no Sunday Serenity here, more like Tuesday Tributes and Tribulations. I posted the picture and immediately thought of that passage. And what with the "deaths" of my bluebird babies-to-be yesterday, and the way I feel about the wars going on around the world, this is a tribute and a protest all rolled up into one! So there!

  9. Beautiful...I've tried to grow Bleeding Hearts, but it's just too warm. And the passage is perfect for the loss of the baby birdies. *sigh*
