Sunday Serenity

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions.”

  1. A very serene Sunday post. Patience can be very hard to learn in our stress filled "hurried" life. We've forgotten how to sit and wait in silence for God to speak into our lives.

  3. Beautiful. I cannot believe that you of all people have not read any Rilke before. Good stuff.

  4. Thanks for the links, because I will use them! The last sentence--"Live the questions." I love that. I love the whole thing, but that one three-word sentence really resonates with me. It seems to me that one must live the questions in order to get real answers. Now, aren't you glad I shared that tidbit with you? BWA!

    As always...beautiful pic/wonderful post.

  5. I am so jealous that you have snow where down South, it will hit 65 degrees today.
How appropriate your quote is for today.

  8. I've never heard of Rilke before. I went to Ms. Mad's other blog and have been reading for a long while about her battle with cancer and her faith. Thank you for stearing me there :)

I need more patience. I have some, but not enough.

  9. How absolutely gorgeous! As for Rilke.. the quote is perfect. I have a cousin who breathes Rilke, or I would not have known of him, either.

  10. I don't think I'll ever get past wanting to know the answers. But I do live a lot of questions.
