Sunday Serenity

Zen in Vermont...

The powers that be must be trying to tell me
something I haven't been able to grasp just yet.
Wherever I am, it seems every time
I turn around, I discover another
zen
moment....why???
It's good, but I still wonder....

  2. Happy B-day. Unfortunately, my zen today was open lanes of traffic on the commute in. It's early yet, so here's hopin'.

  6. It's a cairn! They're all over the place at Acadia National Park.

  7. Thank you Kate! Just googled cairn's - they're wonderful! I have a new favorite word. And some of the cairn's that are on-line are just beautiful.

  8. Up north in Maui, beyond where the electricity stops (or it was non-electrified in 1987, at least), the road was cut through great mounds of lava rock. Many curious little piles of rocks like in your photo -- some with very intricate balance. I asked my co-worker about them; for the people who stacked these rocks, was there religious or spiritual significance?

"Nahhh," she answered. "Dey jes' boahhed." (They're just bored.)
