Good Food

Our Farmer's Market is loaded with good things
that are ready to be bought and eaten!
We support it every way we can.
It's good, local food - locavores - that's what we're striving to be!

And now a question:

From what source do you get your sustenance?

  1. Love the photo.

We don't have a close Farmer's market, so mostly from the regular market. Unfortunately, still not much from my garden, but soon....

  2. Since we left our garden in Chesapeake City, we either buy at the local farmers market here or the grocery store. Sometimes my co-worker brings me produce. In the 10 years I've been working at the school, I always took our produce in to share with everyone who works in the summer.

  3. Good for you! I have a farm market not too far away where I get produce all spring-summer-fall. They close in the winter. Right now I'm buying their silver queen corn and tomoatoes and new potatoes...yummy! And Posey County melons. I buy at the grocery, too when I am there.

  4. I am so bad ... I only eat fresh veggies when they are part of the lunch buffet at the office ... I do however eat a lot of fresh fruit I get at the GreenFlea on Sundays....

    Love this shot, Annie!

  6. Mostly the regular market. Our farmer's market is not nearly as lovely as yours!

  7. We probably buy about 25% at the market stalls and the other 75% at the grocery store.
We can walk to the grocery store but it takes about 20 minutes to drive to the farmers market.

    Bear((( )))

  8. Well, anyone who ever visits my blog knows we could feed a 3rd world nation from the buckets of vegetables that inhabit my kitchen floor from July to November. The rest of the year it is from the freezer, pantry and grocery store.

  9. Awesome photo. We get our produce from the farmer's market as well. But not always... as the produce isn't always successful so the grocery stores is where I buy 50% of it... sigh.

  10. Everywhere. I try to eat local but my biggest problem is imported chocolate and imported wines...exotic ingredients.

    I guess I'm a half-loco

  12. Burger King. McDonalds. Taco Bell. Dairy Queen for dairy. Subway for veggies. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Not really (well, occasionally). We have terrific Farmer's Markets, literally every day of the week. There are also farm stands. And friends with gardens. All of these are great sustenance sources.

Love your photo, Annie; it makes me want to eat better all the time!
