My World - A Necessary Doggy Trip

Miss Stella was due for her necessary annual trip to our friendly vet for her various prods, shots and such. Took out the leash, she became ecstatic, went running for the car and leapt in. On the way, as you can see, she was as happy as a dog can be. Got to the parking lot...got out of the car...everything is still good because there are so very many other doggy smells to process. And then...we went in the door. Ohhhh noooooo. Stella knows that smell. And it's not good. All of the sudden I have a big 80 lb. baby of a dog jumping up on me imploring me to get her the heck out of here!
In short order we did. Stella passed all her tests with flying colors and is good to go, chasing squirrels and wild turkeys for another year.

A small part of My World, but My World none-the-less!

And now for your viewing pleasure, a video of the most snow-loving dog I've ever seen. Someone emailed this to me and I just had to share it - it's the doggy definition of ~fun~!

  2. That dog is TOOOOOOO funny! What a smile I have now. And at least your dog just wanted out. Mine would have to urinate on everything in fright. It's hideous!

  8. That video is so funny! Good dog, Stella for being good at the vet. Now would you come and help me stuff 2 cats into their carriers to take to the vet today? As soon as I grab one, the other will disappear.

  9. It cracks me up how animals know the minute they are at the vets. Our old cat used to love to go places but when we would drive up in the parking lot of the vet he would go nuts. Not because he hated it but because he loved her. He couldn't wait to get out and ran straight for the door. Hilarious. That video was too cute.

  10. The owners should submit this to America's Funniest videos. I'm certain they would win the big prize!
My beloved Heidi hated getting in the car. She knew it was trouble from the getgo. They just sense this.

  11. Annie: It is amazing how they know. Getting in the car is one thing but the office is another.

  12. Way to go Stella!

The youngest member of the Brute Squad is due, but wrangling a 4 pound Chihuahua is a lot easier than an 80 pound German Shepherd!

That snow dog is nuts. I kept worrying that it wouldn't pop up!

  14. Can't even imagine that much snow!!
    Well at least since 1993!

After you take Dora for MPM, I have a black labby whose sister went for her check up 4 months ago but I can't seem to get the black one to the vet!

  19. Great video of the dog in the snow. That reminds me of my Pomeranian, but he behaves that way when you turn the water on. He will get completely soaked and chases the water and won't quit. He loves it. I'd swear he was part lab if he didn't weigh six pounds.

  21. Good to hear Stella got a clean bill of health -- and that both dog and human survived the trip to the vet's office.
