Sunday Serenity

"People from a planet without flowers would think we must
be mad with joy the whole time to have such things about us."
~ Iris Murdoch,  A Fairly Honourable Defeat

Flower pictured above is a Lacecap Hydrangea.
Above is also my entry for Kacey's (wineonthekeyboard

  1. Isn't that the truth?! Gorgeous photo!

  2. What are they? Never seen anything like it! They look pretty slick, though!
    Cheers, Klaus

  3. What a strangely colored flower! The blue is so unnatural looking. Well....what if on the other planet, flowers are actually ugly or something to them?? Go ahead..throw something at me. I do personally believe that flowers are a visual expression of joy and that music is an audio one :-)

  4. Klaus and Mary - that's a lacecap hudrangea blossom, thus the intense blue. I left a link right at the bottom of the post that will tell you all things lacecap!

Mary - totally agree with you about flowers and music - couldn't live without either of them! And if there's a planet inhabitant that wouldn't be bowled over by them, I don't wanna know them! (Well, I really don't want to know them under any circumstances! I'm not that adventurous.)

Helen and MPM - always very happy to have you, and everyone stop by. Makes me feel good! Does it you to have folks stop by your neck of the blog world?

  5. Oh I have never seen any of those .. how lovely ...

  6. Beautiful photo of a lovely flower! Thanks for your visit.

  7. what kind of flower is that? It is quite beautiful but something I have never seen anything else like it.

  8. This is a beautiful photo!

Eric at Paris Daily Photo had a shot of Mona Lisa, but "Louis" doesn't have to go to Paris to see her!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a thought. It's appreciated! xoabb
